Opening a file
- Where does the PDF open?
- In the Windows app, from a file on this computer. The site does not show the pages.
- Why is there a thumbnail strip?
- So a long file has a way to jump. The highlighted thumbnail is the page on screen.
- The scan is sideways.
- Rotate that page, then save. Recognition works better after the page is upright.
The account
- How do I sign in?
- Continue with Google. That account holds the license. It does not hold your documents.
- I signed in and came back to the same page.
- A finished sign-in opens the dashboard. If the window closes early, start again from the sign-in page.
- Can I use a second computer?
- Premium includes five devices. Sign in on the new one. Remove the old one from the dashboard when you replace it.
Other screens
- Where do I see the license?
- On the dashboard, after you sign in. It lists the plan and the devices on that account.
- What stays free?
- Reading and annotating. Edit, sign, convert, and text recognition need Premium.
- Which screens use the same account?
- Sign in on the web for the license. The PDF app in progress is Windows. Mac, iPad, iPhone, and a browser editor are planned.
